Korcula!

After Bol we went to another really nice place called, the town of Korcula, on the island of Korcula!

here's a friend we made who we passed by every day from our super nice room to the town. (the cat not the seagull!)

some algae steps

Zach liked Korcula so much he opened a coffee shop!

our friend again just hangin!

a jewelry store's display window :p

every town had a cat square, here's Korcula's!

our room had satellite. I wonder if this channel is associated with caffe bar Zak...

there were sea urchins all over, even on the shore!

and last... a panorama!

The rest of Bol

Besides Zlatni Rat, there were lots of other nice things in Bol.
 like turtles at the campsite

snails hanging out in the sun

super clear water

jumping into the water

We found a cat that Zach had seen in a cat fight the night before.
He was pretty nice though and liked getting pet, but every time Zach tried to pick him up, he got a little annoyed :D
can't you see it in the poor kitties face?

I also ate some giamongous strawberries one of which was deformed.

here's a panorama of Bol. (don't forget to click for detail!!)
Zach and I both agreed it was at the top of our list of favorite places in Croatia, especially for swimming!

Zlatni Rat in Bol

After Split we headed to Bol on the island of Brac.
We went to a campsite, pitched our tent, ditched our stuff and immediately headed to one of Croatia's most famous beaches, Zlatni Rat (the Golden Cape).
Obviously I couldn't take any aerial photos so I stole this one off the internet.

on the way to the beach
We were lucky enough to be in Croatia a few weeks before the tourist season kicks in so the beach was fairly deserted, but it was about 6pm also.
The water was chilly but we got used to it after a minute or so.

When I wasn't swimming or napping, I was collecting cool pebbles and stones.
But, I could also swim and collect at the same time!

lentil pebble!
my rock sculpture
Zach skipped rocks like crazy and a few times got around 10 skips in and a jump of 4 meters or so. I tried to photograph it but, it was too hard.
