(banana) SPLIT! and Diocletian's Palace

Our first stop in Croatia was Split.
We got in at night, and after being swarmed by "zimmerfrau"
we headed out into Split at night!

Don't forget to click on the photos for more detail!

We also saw Split during the day.
Diocletian built his retirement home there at the turn ot the 4th century.
The palace is now the old town itself and shops, cafés, restaurants, and homes are all built into it, and it's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We stayed in Split two nights and it was lovely! I was most impressed by how clean it was, and the stone streets that shone like they were wet, but they weren't!
But, we had lots of other places to visit, so on Tuesday the 8th, we hopped on a ferry to the island of Brac, to visit the town of Bol, that's coming soon!
Here's Split from the ferry...

Croatia and Montenegro

I'm back from my big trip and have wayyyy too many photos.
Most likely, the posting of them will be similar to the Africa photos, meaning it will take months and I probably won't finish.
Anyways, here's a sample of what Zach and I experienced!

One of our favorite places was Bol on the island of Brac

One of my favorite places was Perast on the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.
Here's a storm approaching!
